Private locates, GPR scanning and subsurface mapping across Austin and Central Texas — usually on site within 24 hours, and yes, we work weekends.
This city has been under continuous construction for thirty years, and the ground shows it. Fiber laid over gas laid over a 1960s water main, with an abandoned duct bank nobody remembers running diagonally through the middle of it.
Add Central Texas geology — shallow limestone in the hills west of MoPac, expansive Blackland clay east of I-35 — and you get sites where records are wrong, depths are inconsistent, and radar behaves differently on two ends of the same parcel. We work here every week, and we plan the scan around the ground we're actually standing on.
Austin & Central Texas
Texas law requires you to contact 811 at least two business days before excavating, excluding weekends and holidays. That applies to contractors and homeowners alike, even in your own backyard.
Free, required by law, and it puts member utilities on notice. Submit online or dial 811 two business days out. Wait for positive response before you break ground.
Compare the paint on the ground against the utilities listed on your ticket. Member utilities mark only their own lines, and only to the meter or point of service.
Everything past the meter is the property owner's responsibility, at the owner's cost. That's the call you make to us — and on most sites it's the bigger half of what's buried.
If your two business days have passed and lines still aren't marked, you can file a No Response ticket with Texas811. But be aware that unmarked lines are frequently private lines — in which case no amount of waiting will produce a mark, because nobody is coming.

Full private locate and QL-B designation across the pad before mobilization, so the excavator isn't the one discovering what's down there.

Linear designating ahead of directional bores along Austin's constantly expanding broadband and small-cell corridors.

Residential private locates on the side of the meter 811 won't touch — irrigation, gas to the grill, pool bonding, septic and landscape lighting.

Downtown and domain-area interior work where a core through post-tension turns a Tuesday into a structural engineering problem.

Camera and sonde work on older East and South Austin laterals, plus pre-purchase inspections on homes with cast iron and clay in the ground.

Schools, medical campuses, industrial parks and HOAs that have added utilities for forty years without ever updating a drawing.
Same-week service across the Austin metro. If your site is outside this list, call anyway — we travel, and we mobilize nationwide for multi-site work.
No call center, no ticket queue. Tell us the address and what you're digging, and you'll get a real answer about price and timing.
Most Austin-metro locates are scheduled within 24 hours, and we work Saturdays. If you have a crew idle or an emergency dig, call (737) 937-6199 directly rather than emailing — phone gets you a real answer about today.
Yes, absolutely, and we'll tell you so every time. Contacting 811 at least two business days before you dig is required by Texas law, it's free, and it covers the public-side lines. We handle the private side that 811 members won't mark. The two services are complements, not substitutes.
It does, and any locator who says otherwise is selling something. West of MoPac you get shallow limestone, which means utilities are often buried shallower than plan and sometimes set in rock trenches. East of I-35 the Blackland clay holds moisture, which attenuates radar and cuts usable GPR depth — so on those sites we lead with electromagnetic locating and use GPR to fill gaps. Either way we'll tell you on site what we could and couldn't see, and note the limitations on the deliverable.
That's a large share of our residential work. Call 811 first for the public lines, then we cover the private side — irrigation, landscape lighting, gas runs to a grill or fire pit, pool bonding and electrical, septic tanks and drain fields, and the water and sewer laterals running from your meter to the house. All of it is unmarked and all of it is your responsibility.
Yes. COIs are available on request for general contractors, owners and lenders, and we can be named as additional insured where a contract requires it. Ask when you book and we'll have it to you before we mobilize.
Pricing is driven by site size, scope and access rather than a flat rate. A residential backyard before a pool dig, a two-acre commercial pad, and a mile of fiber route are three very different jobs. Most standard residential and small commercial locates land at a flat half-day rate. Send the address and scope and you'll get a firm number, not a range.
Call 811 for the public lines. Call us for the other sixty percent.
